Services are held in one room within a building, and the congregant/attendee capacity must be limited to 25% of the maximum occupancy for that room.  All attendees must maintain 6 feet of social distancing and wear masks. Schools will not be available to churches, but…

When? Don’t procrastinate. Great.

Dear CCC Family, The country, state, and city are slowly moving toward reopening. Small, ten or less, religious gatherings are now allowed as long as masks, social distancing, and other mitigation steps are taken. The president is pushing for a broader opening of houses of worship. Regardless of when we meet again, the school will not be available to us this summer. However, the carpeting in our building at 210 East 117th will be installed soon so it should be…

Prayer request. Free Book.

Dear CCC Family, I was recently asked when I thought we would meeting in person again. I don’t know. The City of New York will be slow in opening things up and allowing us to meet in person again. Even when they do there will be many restrictions. We are thinking about how to best do that when they allow it. In the mean time, we are thinking of better ways to meet digitally. The small groups around the book,…

Core52 Virtual Small groups. Reminder, the Message Comes Early. If Money Talked. Zoom Fellowship.

Dear CCC Family, If you haven’t heard about the book, Core52, check it out here. We will be reading it together as a church starting in early June and giving it away free to our church family and friends who will commit to reading it with us. As much as you will get by reading the book, you will get even more if you will meet weekly with others to discuss it in a Core52 small group. In June we…

Midweek Update. Core52. If Money Talked.

Dear CCC Family, Last Sunday I made an announcement about Core52. It is book that we will read and use together as a church. It has 52 short chapters, one for each week for a year. Each chapter focuses on one foundation verse from the Bible. Going through the book together will give us a solid understanding of the Bible and its teachings. We will use the book by setting aside 15 minus a day, five says a week, to…

Gathering change. Give it a try. Invite someone. New Bible study.

Dear CCC Family, We continue to strive to use online technology in the most effective way to encourage our church family and connect with new people. John, William, and I have been reading and listening to what the experts in online church suggest. One suggestion is that the message should be earlier in the service than it is when we meet in person. We will try it as an experiment. This Sunday the message will be early, before the singing,…
