Feeling Better! Congregational Meeting! No Parking Lot?

Dear CCC Family, I was sick last Sunday. We made it through the message but canceled classes. I apologize for that. Those that were there know that I was sick and people that listened to the message online commented that I sounded sick. Though I still have a little bit of a cough, I am feeling better and will be good to go for Sunday. We will have our annual congregational meeting this coming Sunday. Everyone is welcome to attend…

Friends Visiting. Parking Lot. Special Class.

Dear CCC Family, We survived the Blizzard of 2015! I shouldn’t joke about that because winter is not over yet. Still I am thankful that the storm did not hit us. This Sunday we will have some friends visiting with us, Paul and Carissa Curtis and their sons, Jae and Daniel. Paul was on the staff of CCC from 1995-1997 and left to plant a church in Brooklyn, Crossroads Christian Church. Paul has concluded his ministry there and will be…

Unconditional Acceptance. Shazzy Fitness. Schedule Changes.

Dear CCC Family, Wow! I can’t believe how many people braved the ice and made it to church for worship last Sunday. It took the Butler family three times as long as usual. We had to backtrack and find alternative routes as we encountered closed roads and accidents. In the message, we looked at our second value, Unconditional Acceptance. That can be misunderstood so I encourage you to listen to the message. Unconditional acceptance is the value that Jesus displayed…

Build Relationships. Truth with love. And it is . . .

Dear CCC Family, I will continue the Church Unique series of messages this Sunday. We started two weeks ago by looking at our mission, which is to build relationships with people from all walks of life that lead us to a life-changing relationship with Christ. Last week we began looking at our values, the things that are important to us as we accomplish our mission, and we focused on truth with love. This week I will talk about another value.…

Prayer! Church Unique! Things that are Important!

Dear CCC Family, Prayer! What church or person prays enough? The challenge may never be met, but we will be more devoted to prayer in 2015. We got off to a strong start last Sunday with the thoughts Patrick shared; and (once we overcame the technical difficulties) the sweet time of corporate prayer we had. Starting this Sunday, you can keep the momentum going by coming at 10:00 am for a time of prayer before the service. Church Unique. I…

Home! A New Year! God’s Special Blessing!

Dear CCC Family, It is good to be home! Although we had a good a week visiting family in Tennessee and Missouri, we are looking forward starting the new year with you this Sunday. I have a deep sense that 2015 is going to be a special year in the life of our church, not because of any specific thing that I or we are doing or will do; God seems to be up to something. He is bringing together…

Guests. Postponed. Prayer.

Dear CCC Family, We have had a great December together. Last Sunday was another good one and the children’s hand bell choir was great. Thanks Christina. The Christmas Eve service was special as usual. Thanks to Jonathan and Jon for making it happen. I will be in Tennessee this coming Sunday with my grandchildren. We will have guests speaking and leading worship. Pastor Daniel Feliciano from La Hermosa Christian Church will be speaking and William Gomez will be leading worship.…

You are Invited to the ACPL and Karaoke!

Dear CCC Family, You are invited to the ACPL, better known as the Annual Christmas Potluck Lunch. It has been a highlight of the year since Community Christian Church started nearly 24 years ago. Whether you are regular attendee, haven’t attended in a while, or are yet to attend, you are invited to join us this Sunday. First, we will learn about hope and then experience the hope that Christian fellowship brings. Invite a friend too! See you Sunday! Jeff  …

Get Hope. Food. Hand Bells. Prayer.

Dear CCC Family, The Christmas season is here! The cookies are being baked, carols are being sung, and the shopping is being done. Those are all great but keep your focus on Jesus and the hope He brings. Join us this Sunday as we start our Christmas series, “Get Hope for Christmas.” It is the gift you won’t return and that others will be thankful for receiving. See you Sunday! Jeff   PS Remember to Pray for One. Pray that…

Resurrection. Christmas. Loan. Children. Luncheon.

Dear CCC Family, I hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. We did. Great time with family! Four different pies! Sweet potato is the best. We will conclude the “Heaven, Hell, and the End of the World Series” this Sunday with a message on the resurrection, our bodily resurrection. I spoke on hell last Sunday and I have never seen so many people inspired by a message about hell. It may have been a good message but my best ever? I…
