Deadline. Additional Safety Measures. Gratitude. Mid-Week.

Dear CCC Family,

If you are like me, you are disappointed that the virus has surged around the world, across the country, and in NYC. We survived before and we will do it again. God is faithful!

We are taking additional safety measures to make your Sunday visit to CCC even safer. Beginning this week we will start taking temperatures, have a sign with screening questions that are to be read before participating, and use an electric spray fogger to sanitize the building prior to meeting on Sunday. We have had no problems and we want it to keep it that way.

This will be the last week of the Emotions series. We will deal with the positive emotion of gratitude.

On November 29, John will begin the Christmas series, A Thrill of Hope: Finding Hope in the Unexpected

We are getting a good response to the Holiday Market offering. That will be our Christmas offering for this year.

See you Sunday, online or in person.

PS Beginning in December we will have a mid-week, Thursday night, online gathering for everyone. It will include praise, prayer, and proclamation (teaching). More details to follow.

New Safety Measures
We will start taking temperatures, have a sign with screening questions, and use an electric spray fogger to sanitize the building prior to meeting on Sunday. Below are the screening questions that are to be read when you enter the building.

  1. Have you had a fever of 100.4” or higher in the past 24 hours?
  2. Are you experiencing any COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms? (shortness of breath, fever, loss of taste or smell, etc.)
  3. In the last 14 days, have you been diagnosed with  COVID-19, awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, or been told to self-isolate or self-quarantine?
  4. In the last 14 days, have you had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
  5. In the last 14 days, have you returned from a trip that now requires you to se|f—iso|ate or self-quarantine?

If you answered “Yes” to any of the above questions, please join us online at

Holiday Market
2020 has been tough, but we want to finish this year off strong by tangibly meeting the needs of those in our community. We want to make Christmas a reality for struggling families with children this year, so that is why we are launching a brand new initiative called Holiday Market starting Saturday, December 5th, from 2-6, and continuing the following Saturdays up until Christmas or while supplies last.

Just like the wonderful holiday markets that sprout up throughout NYC after Thanksgiving, we want to provide a great, safe, and realistic shopping experience for those in East Harlem where parents can come and shop for Christmas gifts for their children and pay what they can, even if that is zero!

In order to make this year’s Holiday Market a reality, we all need to do our part by giving generously to this initiative, creating space in our calendars to serve (more details coming soon), and praying for those families who will be blessed this Christmas because we stood in the gap for them. If you would like to give to the Holiday Market, select Holiday Market in the Funds drop down menu when you give online. You can also text any dollar amount followed by the word Holiday to 84321, write Holiday Market on your giving envelope or check, or visit the giving page on our website by clicking here and choosing Holiday Market from the drop down menu of funds.
