Dear CCC Family,
This coming Sunday we will have one service starting at 10:45 at PS 208 which is located at 21 W. 111th Street just west of Fifth Avenue. After the service we will go back to our regular location for our annual Christmas Potluck Luncheon. You can drop your food off at the church building before going to the school. It is going to be a great day so bring someone with you!
Last weeks Project Angel Tree Christmas party was great! Most of the families and children we are buying presents for attended. Thanks to Elba Rodriquez for coordinating it and all who bought presents and helped with the party.
See you Sunday for worship and lunch.
PS There is snow in the forecast, but it is unlikely that it will change our plans. However, it might be different where you live so be safe.
December 10 Only – Change of Location
In order to have adequate room for our Annual Christmas Potluck, we will meet for worship at P.S. 208 (Alain L. Locke School) at 21 W. 111th Street, between Fifth and Lenox on Sunday December 10. We are renting the school for that day only. This activity is not sponsored or endorsed by the New York City Department of Education or the City of New York.
We will have one service that day starting at 10:45am. Children’s classes will meet as usual, but the Adult Bible Fellowships will not meet. Our Annual Christmas Potluck will be after the service back at our building at 5 W. 110th Street. We can use the parking lot as usual.
CCC’s Christmas Potluck Luncheon, a favorite annual event, will be held on Sunday, December 10th after the morning service. All are invited to attend! There will be one service at 10:45 and it will be held at PS 208 (Alain L. Locke School) at 21 W. 111th Street, between Fifth and Lenox. However, the luncheon will be at our normal space after the service. Come with your favorite dish to share and drop it off at CCC’s usually space before going to the school..
Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus. In the midst of giving gifts to friends, family, and co-workers we want to make sure we give a gift to Jesus as well. Though the post office does not deliver to heaven, Jesus says that we can give to Him by giving to “the least of these.” The Christmas Offering is a year-end giving initiative that focuses on doing just that. Each year we will choose a worthy project to give to at Christmas time. This year the Christmas Offering will go to our Benevolence Fund which meets emergency financial needs of members of our church and community throughout the year.
Christmas Eve Service
Our Christmas Eve Service will be held on Sunday, December 24th, at 3:00 p.m. Come and celebrate Jesus at this special candlelight service. It is also a great event to bring someone to.
New Year’s Eve Party
CCC is hosting a New Year’s Eve party at the church building on December 31, starting at 8pm. We will have snacks, play games, and have a brief time of worship. If you are interested in attending or helping, please talk to Crystal or email email@example.com.
