Dear CCC Family,
Laurie and I are in Memphis Tennessee visiting our grandchildren and their parents. John Price will be speaking this Sunday. I will be back Monday and speaking again on November 17.
We had an another good pancake breakfast last Sunday. We want to say “Thank You!” to John Dyke and his team for the good food and good fellowship.
There is still some uncertainty about when the renovations on our building at 210 East 117th Street will be completely finished. Rather than planning a dedication service based on estimates of when it will be complete, we will postpone the dedication and not set a new date for it until after all the renovations are complete. Thus, the dedication will be in the new year. The renovations in some parts of the building have been completed so we will start using part of it now.
Although I won’t be there Sunday, the weather should be good and there won’t be a marathon, so I hope you will see each other this Sunday.
Pancake Breakfast Thank You
Jon Dyke and his crew cooked us a delicious pancake breakfast last Sunday. Thank you Jon and helpers.
The dedication of 210 East 117th Street has been postponed until the new year.

Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No To Take Control of Your Life. Does your life feel like it’s out of control? Perhaps you feel you have to say yes to everyone’s requests, especially if you are a Christian. Maybe you find yourself readily taking responsibility for others’ feelings and problems. Or perhaps you focus so much on being loving and unselfish that you’ve forgotten your own limits and limitations. Or maybe it’s all of the above. This study will help you learn when to say yes and know how to say no in order to take control of your life and set healthy, biblical boundaries with your spouse, children, friends, parents, co-workers, and even yourself. Led by Russell Kraft.
Life Lessons from the Book of Esther … studies on the providence of God, His perfect way, His perfect timing ‘for such a time as this.’ Led by Norma Lozada. (
Core Christianity: Finding Yourself In God’s Story. If you are a Christian, you likely pray, go to church, and read your Bible on a regular basis. Still, with all the busyness of life, you may not be exactly sure how your faith fits into everything you are doing each day. This study delves into the core truths of the Christian faith to equip you to more fully experience the joy God has for you in Jesus Christ and encourage you to have the confidence to share your faith with others. Led by Jon Dyke.
