Julie Nevel. You did it!

Julie Nevel. You did it!

Dear CCC Family,

It won’t go down as one of our major accomplishments, but it is still appreciated. We asked for egg trays and you delivered. We needed 12 and we got 13 with more coming. You did it! Thanks! This Sunday’s lesson and craft in Junior Church will be good so bring an older grade school age guest.

This Sunday we will have an extra music team member, Julie Nevel. Many of you know Julie. She led worship for us at a CCC retreat many years ago and has been at area church events and the Metro Christian Convention. Julie is also the founder of the Sister to Sister Women’s Conference which some of our women have attended. Julie will sing with the team and share a song or two in addition.

The French service starts next Sunday so we will spend some special prayer time for it this Sunday.

See you Sunday!

Jeff

PS Easter is two weeks away. Prayer for our outreach postcard inviting people to worship with us. It should be delivered to homes this coming week. Also, prayerful decide who you will be inviting to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with you.

“The Case for Christ” Movie – Saturday, April 13
In 1980, Lee Strobel’s award-winning investigative reporting earned him a promotion to legal editor at the Chicago Tribune. Things at home weren’t going nearly as well. His wife Leslie’s newfound faith in Christ compelled. Lee to utilize his journalistic and legal training to disprove the claims of Christianity—pitting his resolute atheism against her growing faith. Based on Strobel’s best-selling book of the same name, THE CASE FOR CHRIST movie is a dramatic and heartfelt telling of their compelling journey. CCC will show the movie on Saturday, April 13, 5:00 pm at Public School 96 where we meet for worship. Invite people to attend with you. It is free. You can watch the trailer by clicking here.

French Service
We will have a service in French at 2:00 pm starting Sunday, April 14. This is in addition to our regular English service at 11 AM. Salomon, Caroline, and a core group of French speakers they have gathered will take the lead. However, there will be ways for you to help even if you don’t speak French. If you would be willing to stay late to help once every 4-6 weeks, circle the “F” at the bottom of your completed Communication Card on Sunday or email office@cccnyc.org.
