Dear CCC Family,
Christmas is approaching and we need toys to fill the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes! You can learn more about what to bring by clicking here. You can pack your own shoebox or buy items for the packing party on November 19. You can also give money so toys can be purchased or to cover the cost of sending the shoeboxes around the world. Please indicate your donation is for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.
I will be away Tuesday through Saturday next week for the International Conference on Missions in Peoria, Illinois. I will be back for Sunday. It will be a time of renewal for me personally and also an opportunity for me to make connections for our church. Please pray that it is a fruitful time for both our church and me.
See you Sunday!
PS Let’s give people the best possible gift this Christmas season, new life in Christ. Plan to invite your friends and family to worship with you this year.
2017 Christmas Series
Join us for the 2017 Christmas series called The Star: A Journey to Christmas, featuring stories of people in the Bible and of people today in which God visits in unexpected ways. He fills our lives’ journeys with hope, love, joy, and peace, just as He did that first Christmas. The series starts on November 26 and all adults in attendance that day will be given a free book that contains devotions for each of the 30 days leading up to Christmas and complement the messages in the series. That will be a great day to invite friends and family to attend with you.
Would you like a daily text message or email to remind you to read the Christmas devotion along with the verse for that day? If so, send your name and your mobile phone number or email address, which ever you want to get the reminder at, to email@example.com or on Sunday circle “T” at the bottom of your Communication Card add your name and your mobile phone number or email address which ever you want to get the reminder at. Put the completed Communication Card in the offering bag. You will get your first reminder on Sunday, November 26 and last one on Christmas Day.
Operation Christmas Child
We are participating in Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child program again this year. The Shoe Box Packing Party will be on Sunday, November 19, after the second service. Sunday, November 19, will be the last Sunday you can bring your shoebox to church for us to take it to a drop off center. We will also decorate the church building for Christmas on that day. Please see the insert on Sunday for details.
We are participating with Prison Fellowship in their Angel Tree program that provides Christmas gifts for children whose parents are in prison. If you would like to help, circle the “A” on your completed Connection Card or speak with Elba Rodriguez.
