Dear CCC Family,
Four people were added to the CCC family last Sunday. Three by being baptized and one who had already been baptized placed their membership. Welcome Priscilla, Jada, Funya, and Michiru! That means we have had ten new members so far this year. Let’s keep it up!
See you Sunday!
PS Look below at what is happening next weekend.
Daylight Savings Time Change Sunday November 5
Remember to set your clock back one hour when you go to bed on Saturday night, November 4.
NYC Marathon November 5 – Parking Issues
Fifth Avenue will be closed on Sunday, Nov. 5, due to the NYC Marathon and we may not be able to get into our parking lot that Sunday. Sometimes the police let us through to park in it, especially if you come down W. 110 Street and go the wrong way around the circle. Please allow extra time to find parking on the street.
The condition of the space where we meet makes a big impression on our visitors. It is time to do some cleaning up, declutering, painting, and repairs. If you have painting and handyman skills, please talk to Pastor Jeff. We will start at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 4. There will be tasks for people of all levels of skill. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan on attending.
The Staten Island Christian Church will host a women’s retreat on Saturday, October, 28, at their building from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The theme is Identity Crisis and Jule Nevel is the speaker. You can get a sheet with details and a registration form at the Information Table in the lobby.
Operation Christmas Child
We will be participating in Operation Christmas Child again this year. Please see the insert on Sunday for details.
We are participating with Prison Fellowship in their Angel Tree program that provides Christmas gifts for children whose parents are in prison. If you would like to help, circle the “A” on your completed Connection Card or speak with Elba Rodriguez.
