|Dear CCC Family,|
If you read the previous email, got a text, or saw it on Facebook or the church website, you know we are returning to online services only beginning this Sunday, December 27th. There will be no in person services until at least February starting this Sunday, December 27th.The COVID-19 numbers in NYC are still high and many are creeping up. They are likely to go up even more after the holidays. Thus, it is best not to meet in person for a while. When we see a sustained pattern of declining numbers, we will resume in person services. In the mean time, we will be online as before and there will be other new and resumed events online after the new year starts. You can check out those events below.
See you Sunday online only!
PS I safely drove to St. Louis to get Laurie rather than have her fly back to NYC. She had been there three months taking care of her parents. We drove to Memphis to visit our grandchildren and spent Christmas with only them and their parents. We will drive back to NYC and arrive on Monday, December 28, and quarantine for two week. There is a picture of Laurie and I together on Christmas day on the church’s Facebook page for those of you who were speculating that she had actually been abducted by aliens. : )
A New Year’s Resolution Worth Making
A new year is coming! Make a new or renewed commit to listen to God by reading the Bible. To help you do this, the morning devotions will encourage and reenforce the habit. Watch for a separate email about the SOAPS method of listening to God and a new Bible reading plan for 2021. It will arrive in your email inbox on this Monday morning. Morning devotions will resume Monday, January 4.
A Study of the Book of Revelation
The midweek prayer time on Thursdays will resume on January 7 at 7:30pm and include a detailed Bible study of The Book of Revelation. Why Revelation? Because of these word written at the start of the book:Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. (Revelation 1:3)Revelation is a complex book, but it is far more understandable than we have been led to believe. The study will be on Zoom. The link will be in subsequent emails and on the church website.

Go here on Facebook. Then, share the post on your timeline or send it to a friend. You can also send the link, cccnyc.online.church, to your friends.
