New Year’s Resolutions may be hard to keep, but pleasing God is one goal that we can all do. In this message of the series, we examine what it means to be God’s faithful steward who is hospitable to all.
1 Peter 4:7-9 tells us that God expects us to be hospitable to everyone, as it is an important recurring theme throughout Scripture. We are to be welcoming to those not only in God’s family, be also those who are not yet in God’s family (Romans 12:9-13; Romans 13:1-2).
It’s important to be hospitable because God Himself is welcoming to us, and as faithful stewards, it is up to us to reflect Him accurately to others (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). We please God when we treat others in a way which reflect their value to Him, so it’s up to us to take steps to truly be hospitable to all.
