Dear CCC Family,
It was good to have William Gomez and Jason Shaw with us last Sunday. We appreciate William filling in as our worship leader and it is encouraging to have former members, like Jason, visit and serve with us when they are in town. William will be filling in again this coming Sunday and on March 26.
Of course, it is always good to see you on Sunday!
PS We will be setting up the baptistry after the second service this coming Sunday. If you can stay to help, that would be appreciated.
Adult Bible Fellowships at 11:30 am
Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) offer Bible instruction, discussion, friendship, prayer & service opportunities.
•MARK: Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, we need the Good News of the Lord’s life and teaching. Two questions: ‘Who is the Lord we follow?’ … ‘How, then, should we live our life?’
•The Case for Faith. Lee Strobel turns his tenacious investigative skills to the most persistent emotional objections to belief―the eight “heart” barriers to faith. The Case for Faith is for those who may be feeling attracted to Jesus but who are faced with formidable intellectual barriers standing squarely in their path. For Christians, it will deepen their convictions and give them fresh confidence in discussing Christianity with even their most skeptical friends.
Daylight Savings Time Starts This Sunday
When you go to bed Saturday night, be sure to set your clock forward one hour for Day Light Savings Time.
Day of Prayer and Fasting
Salomon and Caroline will have their immigration interview on Tuesday, March 21. We are asking you to fast and pray on Monday, March 20, and/or Tuesday, March 21, asking that they would be granted asylum.
He Is Risen!
Beginning next Sunday, March 19, a new series of messages will begin, “Risen.” During the series, we will focus on the most important event in human history, the resurrection of Jesus. The purpose of the series is to deepen your faith and help others know the truth and significance of the resurrection.
Easter is Coming!
We will do a mailing to invite our neighbors to worship with us. Your extra gifts designated for the mailing would be helpful. Please indicate that your gift is for the mailing on your giving envelope. You can also give at www.cccnyc.org/give-online or text the word MAILING to 84321 with the amount that you want to give, for example, MAILING 25.
We will be baptizing people next Sunday, March 19. If you would like to be baptized or have questions about it, please circle the “B” at the bottom of your completed Connection Card.
What I Read This Week
I read lots of things during the week. Each we I will provide you with a link to something that I found helpful. Although I may not agree with everything the author writes or says, I believe this article will be of benefit to you. Click the title to read it.
